Recently my wife and I, along with some of the staff from the University of Calgary - Qatar , attended a BBQ out at one of the many Singing Sand dunes around Qatar.
This location was very quiet when we arrived, but quickly became full of life as the night sky appeared.
Some had come for the view, while others would spend the night.
Having a camp fire in the desert brings new meaning to wide open spaces, but we never felt alone.
