Kim and Tom's Wedding on Aug 20th

It was not that long ago that I myself got married and even less time owning a DSLR.  I had been in contact with Kim through an ad I posted wanting to challenge myself with portraits, engagement or as a second photographer for a wedding.  As their wedding date came closer I was made aware that due to time confusion with the first photographer that I would be the only photographer...    panic :)

But what a blast, with a small wedding and reception aboard the Star of Vancouver and a boat full of happy people, what more could anyone ask for.

Prenatal Class Reunion

It was only 3 short months ago that we had a weekend crash course on giving birth and babies. Not that we hadn't been preparing ourselves but WOW the time really does fly by. With this prenatal class reunion we had an opportunity to catch up with the new parents  and get their take on life with baby. With our little one being the oldest of the group it was nice to see some of the stages all over again. My advice so far: enjoy baby and your partner and just let somethings slide. Babies really are a lot of work, take lots of picture and videos, and this one I got from our neighbour, audio record baby sounds. Then you can relive the little moments all over, that is, before you have another one.

Random Images of Vancouver

Over the last few week I have been taking random photos here and there some time every. With the addition of a Carl Zeiss Sonnar 2.8/85mm lens, past down through the generation, this small, fully manual lens has been a near permanent fixture to my camera. Here are some of the photos I have taken around Vancouver with it.
