Family Portraits

With the mild summer that the Lower Mainland has been having, a beautiful sunny day seemed to present itself as a chance happening. This past Monday was such a day.  Starting off raining and overcast I held out hope that the weatherman was right, for a change because a family’s photo shoot hung in the balance.  As predicted the change came late in the day, and with a bag packed, I was off to Crescent Beach.

Simone and her family now have some pictures to look back on with fond memories.

City Garden

It was beautiful day in Vancouver so we pack a bag for baby and headed off to Vandusen Botanical Garden. It became our destination of choice simply because we had not been there in a long time. Now, to some degree I had completely forgotten about this tucked away garden with its very modest sign and overgrown exterior vegetation, it's not surprising that people just pass it by.  But behind the trees there are rolling hills, flower beds, lakes, and a waterfall among other things, making it a great place for an afternoon walk.

The picture on your left was an excuse to make a dreamy waterfall. This was a hand held shot as I left the tripod at home.
