Birds of Prey

Bald Eagles

For the next few months you may find a large nest and a couple of Bald Eagles near Burrard St. bridge in Vancouver.

Crows  and an Eagle

At first, I thought these may have been baby Eagles in flight with their mother but after closer examination of this photo (to your right) and a wikipedia search, found that at this point in life baby Eagles can't fly.  But will match there parents in sizes and weight  in mere months.

Sadly, I did not have my telephoto lens with me so all the images here are cropped a fair bit. I will likely try to get more photos of this family in the future weeks.

Rest and Relax

Have a nice evening out, watch the view and take it all in. Life really can be made simple if you want it.

A lens upgrade

Simple awesome lens, Canon EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 and Hoya UV filter.  Photography rocks.

Paris viewed as an HDR (high dynamic range) photo

This Eiffel Tower shot is my very first HDR image

This technique for developing photographs is know as a High Dynamic Range images often made up of several different exposures, it can see everything a human can and a great deal of what they cannot, blending it all in to one single image.

Notre Dame Cathedral in B&W with HDR and Tone Mapping

Although fun to create this kind of photo, they are often so spectacular that they appear unreal.

Paris in motion

Louvre Paris

It doesn't matter if you're going to work, on vacation or living life, you will inevitably have to move to get there.

A little bit of London

Christine is now the biggest fan ever.

Distressed Doha

This is one of the last photos that I took in Doha, before heading to Canada for the summer.  It has a some what unusual feeling to it and with the screen in the back you would think that it was staging for a movie but you would be wrong.
