After taking this painting off the wall my cat promptly decided that it was his new bed.
Trip to Taiwan
In late December of 2010, Christine and I went to visit her parents in Taiwan; we were both super excited to go and being that I had never gone it was extra special for me. We had a quick stop in Hong Kong, so we threw in a little sight-seeing and shopping before our final stop in Taipei. On a side note Hong Kong is beautiful in it self, people are friendly and it’s very easy to get around.
Our trip would consist of 12 days, traveling from north to south and back. I have to tell you I personally would have been lost if it were not for my wife’s ability to speak Mandarin.
Central Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake.
Taiwan has rich agriculture, growing just about anything.
Having a little fun at "Janfusun Fancyworld", an amusement park.
We did not find the fish food till after the bread was gone.
You have to see the 101.

Sunglasses
For the longest time I have refused to spend any money on sunglass, buying only the very basic. But with the recent departure of last pair of busted old sunnys and always having to squint even with them on, I had decided to try something new. Well, on a mission and with a few good ideas, Oakley, Ray-ban and soon.
I went shopping. My wife, an avid shoe shopper, was all over this idea. She was like, "yeah, try this one and this one and...." You get the picture. It seemed like hours went by, no really they did, and nothing.
Well, being that I am in the Middle East and at the moment it really looked like everyone had sunglasses but me, so I had to find a pair. The requirements were simple: look good and don't hurt my head and ears. Being that I had exhausted all the mid level stores, I when into an optical store and for no less then 1000% more than what I would have like to spent. There, it was:
Designed by Porsche. Now don't get me wrong. I like the cars but would not buy one. However the glasses are fair game. So, with an empty spot where my wallet once was, I became the new owner of a Porsche... pair of sunglasses.
PS. It really was worth it.

Site updates
I have started a photography site at images.ui-webart.com putting some images from around Qatar. I plan to add a great deal of photo but for now there are some Camels, an old village, really interesting if you have never see anything like it.
Also made major changes to my original site ui-webart.com adding more interesting interactivity with a design remodel.
